• FOUNDER
I’m a Colorado native and a CSU Ram. But before any of that, I’m a husband and a dad. Family is the priority and always will be. Skip Rock is how I build a life that supports that, and how I try to leave Northern Colorado a little better than I found it along the way.
My career began in operations, serving as General Manager for The Human Bean, a drive thru coffee franchise where I helped grow a startup to more than thirty five employees and six locations in just over three years. That early operator experience, running a business from the inside out, still shapes how I think about every acquisition today.
I then spent ten years in commercial real estate at Alberta Development Partners and NewMark Merrill Mountain States. At NewMark Merrill, I helped grow the Mountain States division from 300,000 to more than 2,000,000 square feet and played a key role in the $100M redevelopment of Twin Peaks Mall into the Village at the Peaks, a 500,000 square foot lifestyle center that revitalized the heart of Longmont. That experience, operating institutional scale assets under institutional discipline, shapes how Skip Rock approaches every acquisition today.
Since 2017, I’ve been investing on my own. What started as a handful of commercial properties has grown into Skip Rock, a platform focused on opportunities others might miss: an underutilized building, an operator navigating a transition, a service business with good bones and the wrong structure around it. I work across Northern Colorado and Wyoming to create value through thoughtful improvements and steady ownership.
Through it all, my family stays at the center. They are why I build what I build, and why patience, integrity, and long term thinking aren’t just investment principles, they’re how I try to live.

• PHILOSOPHY
Every investment receives the care it deserves. Hands on management that creates lasting value, not just for investors, but for the people, tenants, and communities connected to each asset.
Business is built on trust and genuine partnership. We prioritize long term relationships over short term wins because durable outcomes require durable trust. Many of our best opportunities come from people we've known for a decade or more.
We invest in opportunities that create authentic, long lasting value. Growth means leaving every business, property, and community better than we found it.
